Preparatory year for EU, EES and SC and non EU
General conditions
The Romanian Preparatory Year is for foreign citizens who do not know Romanian and wish to attend university or postgraduate studies in Romania.
Foreign citizens from EU member states and non-EU
Foreign citizens (defined as citizens from EU member states or a third country) may register into the Romanian Preparatory Year, in order to learn Romanian and be admitted into higher education institutions, according to the legal provisions regarding the organization and functioning of the Romanian Preparatory Year.
Duration of the preparatory year courses
The one-year, full-time academic program (2 semesters x 14 weeks) is addressed to foreign citizens who wish to get admitted into a Romanian degree program (undergraduate, master, PhD level). Attendance at Romanian language courses is compulsory.
Registration period:
- 8 – 11 July 2020
- 13 – 17 July 2020
- 3 – 11 September 2020.
The admission exam is file based.
Tuition fee:
EU and NON-EU citizens attending the Romanian preparatory course are required to pay a fee of 220 Euro/month.
